Benalup Casas-Viejas is one of the gateways to the magnificent Natural Park of Alcornocales between the Sierra de Cádiz and the Marismas del Barbate. It is a unique enclave for lovers of art and nature, and is located just 25 minutes from the nearest beaches of Costa de la Luz.

It has a heritage of great archaeological value from prehistoric times, with pictorial manifestations such as the anthropomorphic tombs excavated in the rocks of the Peñón del Tajo de las Figuras, the Cuevas del Arco and Cimera. A highlight among its monuments is the church of Nuestra Señora del Socorro (Our Lady of Perpetual Help).

Its surroundings offer various alternative leisure, sport and environmental activities such as a visit to the Mirador del Parque (Park Viewpoint), better known as the Tajo de la Sima. The Mirador del Parque is one of the best points for observing the migratory birds covering the beautiful blue sky of Benalup as they fly.
